Kill the Cover Letter and Find Your Next Social Media Intern for Free!

CoverLetterKilledSome of you may remember our successful campaign from two years ago on Killing the Cover Letter.  Over 30 Startup companies asked students to apply for their internships using creative online applications rather than traditional (dry) cover letters and the companies who participated had an over 75% hiring rate!

With the rising popularity of social media internships we are excited to be launching “Kill the Cover Letter Part 2: Social Media Interns.”  Currently the process for hiring social media interns is broken.  Companies still solicit long winded cover letters and print resumes from students, when the indicators of how successful a candidate in this role will be is far more closely tied to their online voice, ability to convey ideas in 140 characters or less, and knowledge of new and valuable online tools.

The Kill the Cover Letter campaign allows  you to post your role for free as well as your Twitter handle and then by encouraging our huge student audience to apply using creative online strategies, Tweets, links to their digital portfolios and more!

Want to Get involved?

Participating in “Kill the Cover Letter” is free, but space is limited.  If your company is interested in hiring a social media intern, take 2 minutes and fill out the form below.
